Philosophy

The College exists for the purpose of preparing men and women as responsible Christian workers. To this end, in all its activities, including instruction, nurture, worship, service and research, the College strives for excellence in the service of Jesus Christ, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of the Father.

Philosophy of Education

The College aims to prepare people with a deepening spiritual life based upon a growing understanding and submission to the leadership of Christ, a strong commitment to God as He reveals Himself in the infallible Word. These goals shall be stimulated by a program that stresses applications and mentor-modelling relationship with faculty and other Christian leaders encouraging spiritual commitments to become evident in growing love and burden for the people.

The College, recognizing the divine mandate of the Great Commission, seeks to develop in students a Christian world mission perspective with particular emphasis on Church planting and growth in India and around the world. The students shall be expected to reflect the spirit of servanthood, worship and personal dependence on God that will draw others to Jesus Christ and His Church. This implies a strong relational ministry based upon good motivational and communication skills and practical knowledge of the dynamics of team ministry and multiplication of new leaders.

This warm relational caring for people must be under-girded by a strong preaching and teaching ministry. In addition this proclamation must bring to bear a consistent worldview on current needs and societal issues, and provide a biblical base for pastoral care and counselling. To achieve these outcomes, the total curriculum with strongly emphasize personal evangelism and discipleship, good thinking, writing and public speaking skills, ability to organize and manage a growing church, and awareness of how to use media technology to proclaim the Gospel and advance the impart of the church in the local community.

The curriculum includes courses and experiences carefully planned to develop attitudes competencies and skills consistent with its philosophy of education and ministry. Learning styles shall stress the integration of classrooms experiences with fieldwork and church planting. This perspective shall be enriches by mentor-modelling relationships, supervised internship, involvement in church planting projects and short-term mission trips.
